Gomel to host Belarus-Italy forum on 18-19 February
GOMEL, 15 February (BelTA) – A Belarusian-Italian regional forum will take place in Gomel on 18-19 February, BelTA learnt from Chairperson of the Economy Committee of the Oblast Executive Committee Elvira Karnitskaya.
Partaking in the forum will be nearly 25 representatives of Italian business and civil organizations. The forum will highlight investment and innovation cooperation, expansion of mutually beneficial trade and collaboration in the social sector.
The Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce Italy-Belarus are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation.
On 19 February the Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches will host a presentation ceremony of the Belarusian Italian Youth Center set up for the implementation of joint social, educational and cultural projects. The presentation of the center will highlight the Palace Fiesta 2011 benefit event which is to be attended by representatives of different Italian and Gomel Oblast sectors.
The program also envisages a Belarusian-Italian exhibition of modern art, tasting of the Belarusian and Italian cuisines, a concert of Belarusian and Italian artists.
