Gomel to play host to regional conference of school teachers
The regional pedagogic conference, which traditionally takes place ahead of the new school year, will open in Gomel today. Attending the conference will be about 800 teachers as well as the regional authorities.
The conference will focus on the results of the previous school year, set out the goals for the new school year and identify the problems in the education sphere, BelTA was told in the Education Department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. Close attention will be paid to improving the quality of education.
Retired teachers, young specialists as well as the best pedagogues will be honoured during the conference in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of the education sphere last year.
