Gomeldrev increases export by 46% in January-August
In January-August 2008, the export of the Gomeldrev Company made up $8.3 million, or 46% up over the same period last year, BelTA learnt from head of the marketing department of the company Viktor Gormashov.
The Russian Federation is the main trade partner of the Gomel-based company. At the same time, Viktor Gormashov noted the dynamic growth of sales of Belarusian furniture in Kazakhstan. In 2008, Gomeldrev supplied furniture at the amount of $500 thousand to Kazakhstan. Since July this year, the company has started to supply its furniture and construction materials to Azerbaijan. In the period under review, Gomeldrev’s export to Azerbaijan made up $180 thousand. The company completed the talks concerning the supplies of its products to Turkmenistan. By the end of the month, Gomeldrev is expected to conclude a relative contract with one of the Turkmenian companies.
On November 3-6, the Gomeldrev Company will participate in the Belarusian national exhibition Belarus 2008 in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates). In Dubai, representatives of Gomeldrev will meet with the Iranian businessmen who have already showed their interest in the products of the Belarusian company. Gomeldrev will participate in the 6th Caspian international exhibition Furniture, Interior and Design which will be held in Baku (Azerbaijan) on October 22-25.
