Gomselmash on track to start dealer centers in EU

The production association Gomselmash, a manufacturer of Belarusian agricultural equipment, launched preparations to open its dealer centers in the European Union. The first dealer agreement was singed last week with Czech stock company Trado, Gomselmash marketing director Vladimir Frolov told BelTA. The agreement was signed during an international agricultural exhibition TekhAgro-2006 which went off April 2-6 in Brno, the Czech Republic where the Belarusian manufacturer presented its goods for the first time. The idea to set up a dealer center was triggered by foreign specialists’ interest in the Belarusian company’s output. They asked Gomselmash to leave the forage-harvester К-Г-6 and 9-meter wide rotating mowing-and-crushing machine at the exhibition. The dealers will carry out a thorough testing of the Belarusian equipment and set up seminars for the local agrarians and agrarians of Slovakia. The Czechs are very enthusiastic to purchase the grain-harvester КЗС-1218. This up-to-date machine impressed everyone at the exhibition. However, certain juridical aspects hamper the bargain. But the company believes that it will not be long for the Belarusian harvesters to operate in the fields of Europe. In Brno Gomselmash agreed with Hungary to start another dealer center there. The Belarusians have already sent the appropriate documents to the concerned firm. Next is Bulgaria and a number of other countries. Vladimir Frolov thinks that the Belarusian equipment is in demand in Europe. On the one hand it is quite up-to-date and on the other – it is much lower in price than machines of other world manufacturers. In the near future Gomselmash intends to carry out certification of all equipment it plans to sell through the dealer network. Besides, Gomselmash is busy carrying out preparations to other agricultural exhibitions in other EU countries due soon.
