Gomselmash sends first batch of fodder harvesters to its subsidiary in Argentina
The republican unitary company Gomel-based plant of farm machines Gomselmash has sent the first batch of its fodder harvesters – two “Polesye-600E” and two ‘Polesye-800E” to its subsidiary in Argentina. As a BelTA correspondent was told in the foreign sales department of the company, in line with the contract concluded with the shipping company the cargo should be delivered to Buenos Aires by January 12.
After a preoperational period two fodder harvesters will be tested in the fields (a corn silage harvesting campaign starts in Argentine in February) and the other two will be used as display units to study customer demand.
According to Gomselmash managers, before setting up a subsidiary company in Argentina Gomselmash tested its fodder harvesters in that region to add options. At present the Belarusian farm machines do not yield to the Western European and American analogues, they are confident.
Moreover, in early January 2007 a group of specialists of the Gomel-based company will leave for Argentina. The group will be composed of managers of the Argentine subsidiary, a designer and test drivers, who will stay in Argentina during the whole period of the fodder harvesting campaign.
The Gomselmash first foreign subsidiary company was opened in San Francisco in November this year. The company will assemble farm machines and render backup services. The subsidiary is also expected to become a platform for extending a Gomselmash commodity distribution network to other countries of the region.
Production Association Gomselmash is one of the biggest mechanical engineering companies of Belarus involved in production of cultivating and harvesting farm machines. The company’s offering list includes machines to harvest grain and fodder crops, sugar beet and potato, mowing machines and other equipment. The company destines its products for Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Argentina and other states. Gomselmash has got certificates of conformity to the European standards and is entitled to export its farm machines to the EU member states. The association is proud of 17,6 thousand specialists.
