Gomselmash’s export reaches $150 mln in January-May 2008

In January-May 2008, the export of the Gomel-based production corporation Gomselmash made up $150 million that significantly exceeds the total export deliveries in 2006-2007, BelTA learnt from Vladimir Frolov, the director of the marketing-center of the company. According to him, this year the Gomel-produced combine harvesters are in popular demand among Russian and Ukrainian agricultural producers. For instance, since the beginning of the year just Ukraine has bought more than 400 various farm machines. The supplies of combine harvesters to the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan have significantly boosted as well. Gomselmash actively promotes its machinery on the markets of other countries. For instance, in the near future the Belarusian company will supply 10 combine harvesters Palesse GS812 to the Czech Republic. According to Vladimir Frolov, several days ago Gomselmash and a Ukrainian company signed a new contact for the delivery of 300 combine harvesters to the neighbouring state. Production corporation Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of machines used to cultivate and harvest basic crops utilising contemporary agrarian technologies. The company’s line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation. The company’s designing, manufacturing and maintenance practices are certified for compliance with the international quality management system ISO 9001-2001. Many times Gomselmash won awards at contests “Belarus Best Products” and “Belarus Best Products in the Russian Federation”. The corporation was established on the basis of Gomselmash plant in 1978. The plant was founded in 1930. At present the company employs over 17,000 people.
