In 2006 Gomel oblast invests Br7 billion in gasification of agro-towns
In 2006, Gomel oblast installed gas services in five agro-towns in the Kalinkovichi, Mozyr and Rechitsa regions, BelTA has been informed in the republican production unitary company Gomeloblgaz.
According to specialists, this year 45 km of gas pipelines have been laid. The investments volume made up Br7 billion.
The gasification of agro-towns is carried out in line with the state village revival and development program for 2005-2010. Next year the natural gas will come to eight agro-towns of the Bragin, Narovlya, Svetlogorsk, Loiev, Rogachev, Rechitsa and Mozyr regions. By 2010, 50 per cent of agro-towns of Gomel oblast will have natural gas, the rest ones – liquid gas.
Moreover, Gomel oblast actively installs gas services in the regions suffered from the Chernobyl accident. In 2007, Br14 billion will be invested in gasification of 2829 houses and construction of 55 km of pipelines in Khoiniki, Bragin, Elsk, Vetka and other regional centers of the oblast.
