In 2007, Production Association Gomselmash to increase exports to Russia by 35%

In 2007, Production Association Gomselmash is going to build up exports to Russia by 35%, deputy general director of the company Vasiliy Klimenok told BelTA. Speaking about possible special measures to be introduced by Russia in respect to domestic grain harvesters and compensatory measures in terms of fodder harvesters, he noted that for many years Russia has not been buying Belarusian farm machines in bulk and that Gomselmash works directly with agriculture producers. Vasiliy Klmenok said that in 2006 the exports to the Russian Federation increased 1,5 times to make up $50 million. The increase is due to the growth in the exports of fodder harvesting equipment. Gomselmash also supplies Russia with grain harvesters, seeders, mowers, and components to these farm machines. Gomselmash is one of the biggest companies of Belarus producing technologically interconnected farm machines for cultivating and harvesting crops. The company makes combine harvesters, mowing machines, fodder, sugar beet and potato harvesters and soil-treating equipment. The products are exported to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Argentina and other countries. Gomselmash has certificates of conformance to European standards and can sell its farm machines in the EU market. The association is proud of its 17,6 thousand-strong personnel.
