Industrial companies of Gomel pitch in harvesting campaign
In line with the programme “Patronage assistance” adopted by the Gomel City Council in March this year workers of the industrial companies of Gomel have joined the harvesting campaign. As a correspondent of BelTA was informed in the economy department of the Gomel City Council, at present necessary assistance is rendered to the Gomel, Buda-Koshelevo, Vetka and Dobrush regions.
More than 60 vehicles were sent to agricultural companies of the aforementioned regions. About 600 Gomel residents including 40 machine-operators are helping to harvest grain and fodder crops. Four teams have been built to repair agricultural equipment. Gomel will intensify its assistance to the agrarian sector of the oblast, the economy department added.
According to the experts, in H1 Gomel residents worked in agricultural companies of the oblast 17,5 thousand man-days. More than Br13,5 billion was injected in the agricultural companies in the form of services, new farm machines, spare parts and fuels and lubricants. The biggest part of the aid was gratuitous.
