International exhibition “The Orthodox Belarus” is to take place in Gomel
On February 10, an international exhibition “The Orthodox Belarus” will open in Gomel, the press-service of the Gomel Orthodox Eparchy told BelTA.
The aim of the exhibition is to display Orthodox traditions in their variety. Participating in the exhibition will be representatives of parish churches and monasteries from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. Guests of the exhibition will see products of handicrafts, souvenirs, spiritual literature, icons and will have an opportunity to get a taste of the traditional Orthodox cuisine.
The exhibition will also serve the educational cause of expanding the awareness of students and town-dwellers in traditional Orthodox values. There will be fairs, cinema performances for the youth, meetings with representatives of the clergy and concerts of choirs. Another highlight will be the presentation of the Orthodox newspaper Sreteniye.
