Joint production of milking equipment to be started in Omsk Oblast

GOMEL, 14 March (BelTA) – An agreement to launch joint production of milking equipment in Omsk Oblast was signed during the visit of the Omsk Oblast delegation to Gomel Oblast on 13 March, BelTA has learnt. The equipment will be assembled at Omsk Experimental Plant affiliated with the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The assembly sets will be supplied by Gomelagrokomplekt. The Belarusian company will also deliver ten milking machines as part of the contract signed with ZAO Sibirskaya Procurement Company. ZAO Sibirskaya Procurement Company will also assemble grain windrowers, mowing and crushing machines, and crop collectors from the assembly sets made by Gomselmash. The project was formalized by the memorandum. The Omsk Oblast delegation led by Governor Viktor Nazarov is on a visit to Gomel Oblast on 13-14 March. The delegation toured Agrokombinat Kholmech (Rechitsa District), Gomselmash, Gomelagrokomplekt, a dairy farm, visited an exposition of grain and fodder harvesters at Gomselmash and studied the process to produce equipment for animal farms. Viktor Nazarov told BelTA, “we have discovered new partners and forged new ties, which will naturally give a boost to cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Omsk Oblast”. He believes that such visits contribute to development of other areas, apart from economy. During the talks in Gomel Oblast, the parties agreed to expand cultural and academic ties. According to Viktor Nazarov, one of the most important results of the trip to Gomel Oblast was signing documents on establishment of assembly production of Belarusian agricultural machines in Omsk Oblast. “We prefer Belarus-made machines, because they boast great quality and price; moreover, this equipment is perfect for our climate. Establishment of joint assembly production will allow us to cut down on the prime cost of these products,” the Omsk Oblast Governor said.
