Notaries of Gomel oblast service over 1,000 residents of agro-towns in 2006
Employees of justice agencies of Gomel oblast serviced 1,010 residents of agro-towns in 2006, BelTA learnt from head of the chief justice department of the Gomel oblast executive committee Valentin Makarevich.
In his words, introduction of one-stop shops is one of the pivotal goals of justice agencies. In line with new regulations, each notary or advocate has pay visits to agro-towns in order to provide consultations and other services according to the schedule. To raise the work efficiency rural executive committees and justice agencies have established direct communications.
Yet, the lack of personnel hampers speedy introduction of one-stop shops in the oblast. Thus, in eight regions of Gomel oblast there is only one notary in each notary’s office. According to Valentin Makarevich, measures should be taken to increase the number of notaries in the regions.
