Over 2,500 preschool children to rest in Gomel region sanatoriums this summer
This summer over 2,500 preschool children will have a rest in Gomel region sanatoriums.
Sergei Bondarenko, head of Gomel region department of the national recreation and sanatorium treatment centre, told BelTA, this summer the number of preschool children, who live in Chernobyl-affected areas and will enjoy summer recreation, will be 20 per cent larger. There four new special departments at sanatoriums in Gomel, Mozyr, Zhlobin, and Svetlogorsk districts. Along with the rest the children will get an opportunity to enjoy a full cycle of medical and recreational procedures.
Sergei Bondarenko added, for five years the region has been practising all-the-year-round recreation. The number of preschool children, who get an opportunity to spend a month in a sanatorium, is permanently on the rise. This year such children departments will welcome over 8,000 preschool children.
