GOMEL, 15 September (BelTA) – A two-day seminar dedicated to development of the local governments with the participation of Polish specialists opened in Gomel on 14 September, BelTA learnt from the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The seminar is being held in line with the joint project of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Polish Association of Economic Experts “Pro-Academy” (Lodz) “Support for Development of Belarusian Local Governments, Regional and Trans-Border Cooperation Within Framework of European Instrument of Good Neighborliness and Partnership”. This project was launched in spring this year. The main goal of the project is preparation of the local governments, administrations of the regional centers and also participation of educational establishments in projects of the Baltic Sea Region and the trans-border programmes aimed at forming the efficient health care system, developing small and middle towns, expanding the mutually beneficial links with the European Union.
Taking part in the seminar are more than 70 representatives of the local governments and public organizations.
According to the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, till the end of September, such seminars will be held in Mogilev and Minsk.
