Representatives of 10 countries to take part in children’s festival “Land Under White Wings”

From April 27 to May 1, the Belarusian town of Mozyr will host the international festival of children’s art “Land Under White Wings”. Attending the festival will be more than 600 boys and girls including 300 young people from foreign countries: Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Estonia and others, BelTA has been informed in the culture department of the Gomel oblast executive committee. The festival was organized by the Belarusian culture ministry, the Gomel oblast executive committee and the Mozyr town executive committee. The jury panel will be chaired by People’s Artist of Belarus Mikhail Drinevskiy. The jury will be composed of famous musicians from Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova and other countries. Soloists, vocal and choreographic groups will take part in the contest performances. Concerts will be held on the several stages of the town. The event is traditionally held in late April – the days of the memory of Chernobyl tragedy. The festival is not only the introduction of the youth to culture and the support of young gifted persons, it is a symbol of a life-assorting force. Recently the interest in Mozyr and the festival “Land under White Wings” has grown because of the young pop-stars, the natives of the town – Ksenia Sitnik, Egor Volchek, Mikhail Lila, Andrei Kunets. All of them including other famous Belarusian young singers will take part in the gala-concert together with prize-winners of the festival. The final concert “Among the Friends” will be held in the main square of Mozyr on May 1.
