Residents of Gomel-Raton free economic zone grow exports by 52.7 per cent in January-April
Export of companies-residents of Gomel-Raton free economic zone /FEZ/ in January-April 2006 amounted to USD 22,2 million having grown by 52.7 per cent as against same time last year, BelTA was informed in the marketing department of the FEZ administration.
Over the four months CIS member-states imported USD 16,9 million worth of goods or 76.2 per cent of the total. Among them Russia was the main consumer. It bought USD 14,2 million worth of goods. Machines and equipment, plastic goods and articles made of base metals have the greatest share in the FEZ exports.
Imports totaled USD 24,5 million.
FEZ Gomel-Raton was founded in 1998. Now it has 36 residents registered.
