Security agencies of Ukraine and Russia to take part in Police Day celebration in Gomel oblast
Security agencies of the boundary regions of Ukraine and Russia are to take part in the Police Day celebration which will be held in Gomel oblast of Belarus. Delegations of Kiev, Rovno, Zhitomir, Chernigov oblasts of Ukraine and Bryansk oblast of the Russian Federation will arrive in the Belarusian region.
The solemn measures timed to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian police will be held in Gomel on March 1, BelTA has been informed in the press service of the interior department of the Gomel oblast executive committee. Colleagues, personnel of the law-enforcement bodies of the region and members of their families, former leaders of departments and subdivisions, veterans of the police service and many others were invited to take part in the celebration. More than 700 representatives of the police will become participants of the event.
A solemn meeting and a concert with the participation of art companies of culture departments and law-enforcement bodies will be held in the oblast’s public-cultural center. In line with the results of 2006, the best policemen of Gomel oblast will be awarded special diplomas of the Gomel oblast executive committee and the oblast’s council of deputies.
