Some 4599 people nominated as candidates to local councils of deputies in Gomel oblast
Some 4599 people have been nominated as candidates to the local councils of deputies in Gomel oblast, BelTA was told by deputy chairman of the oblast election commission Alexander Usov.
According to the source, 108 people have been nominated as candidates to the oblast council (60 districts); 137 people – to the town councils of deputies (Gomel and Mozyr). About two men will compete for one deputy place in the councils. Some 46 candidates represent political parties including 21 people – the Liberal-Democratic Party of Belarus and 18 people – the Communist Party of this country.
We remind that candidates were nominated on November 5 – December 4 by labor collectives, political parties and by means of collecting signatures of voters.
At present all subscription lists have been sent to the election commissions. The registration of the deputies will start 40 days before the elections – on December 5-14.
Some 4338 deputies will be elected in Gomel oblast. Some 300 local councils of deputies will be formed. Including one oblast council of deputies (60 deputies), 21 regional councils of deputies (787 deputies), 2 councils in Gomel and Mozyr, 2 town councils, 12 settlement and 262 village councils of deputies.
