Students and working youth gather in Gomel oblast for tourist rallies
More than 2,5 thousand young residents of Gomel oblast are expected to take part in tourist rallies, second secretary of the oblast committee of Belarusian republican youth union Vitaliy Derevianko told BelTA.
A tourist camp has opened today in the urochische Rogachevka in the Oktyabrskiy region. More than 100 students for the region are taking part in. Tomorrow, June 16, they will be joined by about 120 working young people. During four days they will compete in various sports events, a cookery contest and a chastooshka singing competition.
Such events make holidays more interesting and also forge sports-tourist skills and strengthen the health of young people, Vitaliy Derevyanko noted.
The teams-winners of the regional tourist rallies will take part in the traditional oblast meeting of the youth “The Unity” which is due in early July in Petrikov.
