Young Belarusian singer Mikhail Lila wins international festival in Kaunas
Young Belarusian singer from Mozyr Mikhail Lila won the sixth international children’s festival “Kaunas Gathers Friends” in Lithuania, a BelTA correspondent was informed by deputy chair of the culture department of the Gomel oblast executive committee Olga Antonenko.
In line with the festival terms young singers had to sing one song in every competition round. In the result of the open vote the international jury gave highest points to the songs “Kalyada”, “Land of Childhood” and “My House” performed by the young Belarusian. In his age group Mikhail Lila took the first place and won a diploma and a crystal cup. Moreover, the talented Belarusian was invited to take part in the contests and festivals in Bulgaria, Russia and Moldova.
Young talented singers from Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Austria, Israel, Macedonia and other countries competed at the sixth international children’s festival “Kaunas Gathers Friends”.
It is the next victory of the Belarusian singer. Mikhail Lila is a pupil of Mozyr children’s school of arts #2. He won the third prize of the children’s contest at the international festival “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk” in 2005. He is a prizewinner of the special fund of the president of the Republic of Belarus on support to the talented youth and the first prize winner of the international festival-contest “Golden Phoenix” (Moscow, April 2006). Mozyr children’s pop art school is the best one in the oblast. The school has professional pop groups and continues long-established traditions at the level of the international festival of young singers “Land under White Wings”.
