Alexander Lukashenko congratulates Hugo Chavez on Venezuela Independence Day

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chavez Frias upon the 200th anniversary of the country’s independence, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service. President of Belarus expressed his sincere admiration with Venezuela’s success in carrying out reforms aimed at the creation of a prosperous state. Alexander Lukashenko also praised the positive trends in the mutually beneficial all-round cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela. The Belarusian President confirmed that Belarus is ready to expand the all-round political and trade and economic cooperation with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which has grown into a strategic alliance. Alexander Lukashenko believes that the speediest implementation of joint projects in trade, economic, sci-tech, military and other areas serves the interests of both countries. “The unity of our views to the future of the world is a solid basis for the further expansion of constructive cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela within the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international organizations,” stressed the Belarusian President.
