Alexander Lukashenko continues working trip around Polesie region
TUROV, 2 September (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko continues a working trip around the Polesie region, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
The President will focus today on the issues related to the organisation of processing of fruit and vegetables, utilization of new fodder harvesters and the preparation for the winter crops sowing campaign.
Alexander Lukashenko will visit the Turovshchina company to get familiar with the strategy of developing a vertically integrated agricultural system of production in the Zhitkovichi region. Turovschina was created by means of re-organization of the Agro-Pripyat agricultural company. The re-organisation was carried out to set up a company strong enough to produce a wide range of farm produce.
Polesie is working on developing necessary infrastructure for agrarian and ecological tourism. The region plans to build a new up-to-date dairy, implement advanced technologies in plant growing and set up plants for milk processing and melted cheese production.
The President will also visit the Turov company to review the implementation of his instructions on developing vegetables production and processing in the Gomel oblast.
