Alexander Lukashenko: no collapse for Belarusian ruble

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko underlined that the Belarusian ruble will not collapse despite the global financial crisis, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with the Vitebsk oblast officials on November 25. “As for the Belarusian ruble, the situation is totally in control. Today it is essential to provide support for the Belarusian ruble. There will be no collapse, everything is going on as predicted, including the annual depreciation,” the President underlined. The Head of State noted that the country has accumulated certain reserves. Moreover, the trust of the population in the banking system is high. The President added that the IMF positively estimates the situation in Belarus. The government is taking into consideration all the recommendations of the IMF.
