Belarusian military aircrafts leave for Russia to participate in West 2009 manoeuvres

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarusian military aircrafts have left Belarus for Russia to take part in the West 2009 operational strategic army exercise, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Defence Ministry.
On 11 September, the first group of the Belarusian military aircrafts has left Osovtsy Airfield (Bereza) for the Russian training ground Ashuluk (Astrakhan oblast). Taking part in the exercise will be six aircrafts MIG-29 of the 927th fighter aviation base, one military transport aircraft IL-76 with the military of the 115th guided missile brigade and the 927th fighter aviation base.
On 25 September, pilots of the 927th fighter aviation base will conduct missile operations at night for the first time in the history of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
