GOMEL, 25 August (BelTA) – An international full contact karate tournament, Gomel Kyokushin Cup, will take place in the oblast center on 3-4 September, BelTA learnt from the Gomel committee of physical education, sports and tourism.
The organizers of the tournament that is to be held in Gomel for the 18th time since 1992 are Kyokishinkan Federation, the Gomel Oblast Federation of Full Contact Karate Sakura, and the Gomel Center of Martial Arts. Partaking into the competitions will be athletes from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.
Gomel Cup is one of Belarus’ most prestigious full contact karate tournaments. It was the venue for meetings between athletes who are now world champions, European Cup prize-holders and winners of the national championships.
