MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – Retirement pensions and social pensions will be raised in Belarus as from 1 August. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed relevant decree No. 327 on 26 July, the press service of the Belarusian head of state told BelTA.
The decree provides for recalculating retirement pensions in August and November 2011, with social pensions raised.
As from 1 August retirement pensions will be recalculated using the average salary in Q2 2011. The measure will raise pensions by 13% on the average – from Br669,000 to Br757,000.
As from 1 August social pensions for group 1 disabled persons (including persons disabled from childhood) will be raised from 85% to 100% of the subsistence budget. Pensions for group 2 persons disabled from childhood will be raised from 75% to 95% of the subsistence budget. Pensions for group 2 disabled, and children, who get pensions due to the loss of the breadwinner, will be raised from 65% to 85% of the subsistence budget. Pensions for group 3 disabled persons (including persons disabled from childhood) will be raised from 55% to 75% of the subsistence budget. Pensions for children with disabilities under 18 will be raised from 60% to 80% of the subsistence budget for first-degree health loss, from 65% to 85% for second-degree health loss, from 75% to 95% for third-degree health loss, from 85% to 110% for fourth-degree health loss.
As from 1 November 2011 retirement pensions will be recalculated using the average salary in Q3 2011. The measure will raise pensions by 7.9% on the average – from Br757,000 to Br817,000.
Additional money required to pay retirement and social pensions is calculated to be Br220.6 billion per month as from 1 August and Br370.6 billion per month as from 1 November.
A total of Br1.4 trillion will be required to implement the measures. The Social Protection Fund of the Labor and Social Protection Ministry has the necessary amount of money.
