House of Representatives to ratify agreement on Belarus-Russia Union’s property

The Permanent Commission for International Affairs and Ties with CIS of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus recommends to ratify the Belarusian-Russian agreement on the property of the Belarus-Russia Union State during the autumn session, deputy head of the commission Sergei Kostyan told reporters on August 20. Director of the state property fund of the Belarus State Property Committee Natalia Zhernosek noted that the agreement will allow the two countries to form the property of the Belarus-Russia Union State. In line with the agreement, the property of the Belarus-Russia Union State includes the means of the budget, the property created or purchased by the Belarus-Russia Union State, the property created due to implementation of the joint programmes. In line with the document, the property of the Belarus-Russia Union State may be used for carrying out the tasks of the Belarus-Russia Union State only. Belarus keeps record of the property which was created due to implementation of the Belarus-Russia Union State’s programmes. As of January 1, 2008, the balance cost of the property of the Belarus-Russia Union State makes up more than Br560 billion. The property of the Belarus-Russia Union State includes buildings (37%), cars and various equipment (11%), computers (6%). According to the director of the fund, the Russian Federation has already ratified this agreement.
