MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Litesound will represent Belarus at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. This decision was made at the presidential session on 24 February. The session came to the conclusion that the results of the Eurofest contest were rigged, BelTA has learnt.
“Two things are most important for me: a) justice, b) Alena (singer Alena Lanskaya – BelTA’s note) who undeservingly suffered. She was set up, although she brought us victory at the Slavonic Bazaar festival, which was very difficult. Alena Lanskaya should receive official apologizes. She suffered the most. She performed from her heart and did her best to win. But justice is justice. According to the criteria used in the contest, the winner is Litesound who should represent our country,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
