Mozyr Oil Refinery to commission oil slime processing unit in August
GOMEL, 8 August (BelTA) – An installation to prepare slop oil and process oil slime will be commissioned by Mozyr Oil Refinery in August 2011, the company’s press center told BelTA.
Specialists of the German company Flottweg are now busy with adjusting and startup procedures in shop No. 10. Two more German specialists and two Russian specialists will arrive soon in order to train the personnel.
The company had to implement the project due to certain difficulties in preparing slop oil for processing and due to a large amount of accumulated oil slime. The new machine will be able to separate slop oil into oil, water and sand. A trial test reduced oil content in water down to 0.03% while the standard is 1%.
Mozyr Oil Refinery was founded in 1975 and re-incorporated into an open joint stock company in 1994. The government share in the company’s authorized fund stands at 42.76%, that of NGK Slavneft 42.58%, Mozyr Oil Refinery Plus 12.25%, natural persons 2.41%. The company specializes in processing oil, manufacturing and selling oil products. Certified products account for about 95% of the total output.
