MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – The third international festival of instrumental music Lira-Fest will take place in Rechitsa on 2 December. Partaking in the event will be musicians from Belarus and Switzerland, BelTA learned from the organizers of the forum.
The festival will include concerts of the Liritsa instrumental band, the Akana band and the Swiss jazz band Albin Brun Alpin Ensemble.
The Lira-Fest project is sponsored by the Liritsa instrumental band which was founded in Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast, in September 2000. The ensemble is a laureate of numerous international contests in Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, and Russia.
The first Lira-Fest forum took place in Rechitsa in 2007. Partaking in the event were musicians from Belarus and Russia. The 2009 festival welcomed artists from Moldova and Serbia. The project is aimed at preserving Slavonic musical traditions, strengthening cultural cooperation between musicians from different countries.
